It costs around £1000 each day to keep Highgate Cemetery open.  The staff and Friends of the Cemetery manage to keep it going by their sheer hard work and dedication.  They strive to minimise costs and to deliver value for money.  They receive no local or national government funding.  English Heritage helps to part-finance major restoration projects through their generous grants, However there is a continuing shortfall which can only be met by the generosity of the public.

Whether you donate a few coins following an enjoyable tour, sponsor a project, or arrange to leave a legacy, you can be sure that whatever you give will be appreciated and put to good use.
