Run by the Friends of Highgate Cemetery Trust (FoHCT) as a registered charity, the cemetery enjoys the support of English Heritage. A Board of Trustees, elected by the Friends, operates its own company to conduct cemetery business and holds responsibility for the good running of all aspects of the site.

Members are reminded that nominations for Trustees to take place at the next AGM are required no later than 15 February in accordance with provisions laid down in paragraph 29.2 of the Articles of Association which is available on the Members Only area of the website. Such nominations should be on the form available to download  on the relevent page of the Member's Only area.
