On 10 May 2011, Mr. John Shepperd was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Friends of Highgate Cemetery Trust. Mr. Shepperd has been a life member of the Friends since 1992, has been a volunteer since his retirement in 2008 and has been on the Board of Trustees since 2009. Mr. Shepperd is an Economist who spent his career working for various Investment Banks in the City and brings with him many skills to aid the Cemetery, both financially and practically.
